2021.12.01 09:48 monkeybearUrie Is there something wrong with me for being overwhelmed by a schedule like this?
Sorry this is so long. Come in for 8:30. Two haircuts 9am, two haircuts 10am, two haircuts 11am, two haircuts 1pm. Check in and out dogs in between.
We have a bather and the bather only washes. Doesn't dry or do any prep. Nobody takes a lunch break or any breaks at all. We're lucky to get time blocks for XL doodles.
There are good days and there are bad days. If I have a mix of easy dogs or small haircuts that's one thing. But I would say most of our clients require some amount of dematting and are getting long haircuts. Like our doodles pretty much all get over half an inch and I'm expected to partially dematt tails and ears on them.
Two haircuts every hour stresses me out a lot because I feel like I'm always playing catch up. One matted pre clip and the whole day is thrown off. I've been doing haircuts for less than two years so I'm still a baby groomer. I quit corp and didn't get another job for 4 months so I came back very rusty, but now I've been here about 5 months only working two days a week.
I thought it would just get better with time and I'd get used to it. But it's just not working for me. I saw my schedule a few weeks out and just cried on the way home.
I have issues with my back and joints despite being young. It hurts. My bloodwork came back a little funny and the doctor said it could indicate rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. I need to go back for more bloodwork but I'm wondering if maybe this is why I'm having a hard time keeping up?
I feel awful because sometimes my dogs are here for like 4 hours. I feel awful because half the time I'm falling behind. I feel awful because I only work 2 days a week but it seems like I'm the only one who struggles with this schedule, so I'm wondering if I'm just not good enough or if something is wrong with me? I would eventually like to go back to full time. But I absolutely don't see it happening with scheduling like this.
I was hired being told I'd eventually make comission. Turns out they are getting rid of commission so all the other groomers make 40% of their sales and I make a flat $25/hr. So I feel jipped if I do 8 haircuts a day. Our prices range from $65-$140+.

2021.12.01 09:48 drynionph Brand New Shiryo - Inu - DAPP based game & NFT’s in development! - Liquidity Lock - Launching Now on BSC
Welcome to Shiryo - Inu
Shiryo - Inu launching now on Ethereum and it seems that play to earn game tokens are still one of the best niches to buy in DeFi! The roadmap details a fully functional trading card based game which will allow for the earning of the native token through different incentives including weekly competitions!
Contract Address: 0x0e675f042b4C4053062e94ff4738e233D846A31b
The team recently released concepts for the trading cards on their Telegram group and their design team has done an amazing job, this is a gem in the making and it is still incredibly early if you get in now. Having only been life for less than 24 hours the token is sitting at just above a $1M market cap which is incredibly low for a play to earn game, the team is really active on Telegram and the holders seem to be diamond handed after seeing the potential in this project!
Everything about this project has been super clean so far, the chart looks good and the website and concepts released so far have been on point.
The whitepaper is to be released today alongside more mockups of the concept for the game, the marketing has been on point with calls from all the biggest names on Telegram and Twitter. The developer even just hired a social media specific marketing agency to help get even more eyes on the project, Shiryo-Inu is about to become synonymous with the likes of Floki and Mononoke - Inu, don’t sleep on this one!

2021.12.01 09:48 dharderel failed a subject
Hi, internet parents. I'm a 4th year college student in a 4-year BS Nursing program and I failed a major subject (Geriatric Nursing, I know I suck). I can retake the subject in the next (supposedly last) semester, but this subject is a prerequisite to two more subjects. This year should've been my last year in college but now I have to survive one more year because I have to take 2 more subjects. So, yeah, I'm gonna be suffering in college for one more year.
Problem is, I don't know how to tell my strict grandma who is the one supporting me financially, and expects that I graduate on time. I know she's going to be disappointed and I'm worried of how she'll react. Maybe I'm just overthinking this so I came here for advice.

2021.12.01 09:48 DDekker84 Accessing a Windows based apache server from outside is slow
I am currently trying to set up a FortiGate 40F firewall. But somehow the website loads really slow when going there via www.example.com (I cant remember if its that slow with IP also).
I got a VLAN set as 10.0.4.x for the webserver. So the IP internally for the webserver is 10.0.4.2 and externally its IP is 126.96.36.199 and I have set an A-record to go to that IP for www.example.com.
I got a Virtual IP coupled from 188.8.131.52(wan) to 10.0.4.2(VLAN). Policies for incoming, outgoing and hairpin traffic set to HTTP/HTTPS and DNS. Going towards the web from a browser on the webserver is quick. But requesting a website from the webserver is really slow, loading times that go up into seconds. While if I connect it the old way, directly set to 184.108.40.206 it is as fast as before.
I feel like I'm missing a setting somewhere in the Firewall. Does anyone here have any ideas?
Also, i'm actually a software engineer not a networking engineer.

2021.12.01 09:48 denisutu4 Would this mod be allowed?
If there was a mod to hide your elo and your opponents elo (like rocket league has) would it be allowed? i'd love a mod like that because it might help me focus less on my rank and more on improving, i'm talking hide anything that could indicate what elo you're in. (could even hide players borders by making them default but that would be a little extra)
if there's a mod like that feel free to send it to me because i'm desperate.

2021.12.01 09:48 heroyi Seasoned contractors/agents, what advice can you give to younger/inexperienced engineers when considering a contracting experience?
When I was a bit younger in my career, contracting jobs kinda scared me at first due to the potential volatile nature ie time duration on contracts etc... However, after doing a couple of gigs I did notice it wasn't as a big deal. If a contract was part of a big program that has been around for awhile and/or a decent engineer then there was a good chance for renewal or offer for full time. And typically the companies were pretty good to give a month or two in advance of their intention to not renew so that gave you time to save up, work with your recruiter and polish up on your skills.
However, I do feel like an idiot where I got shafted in a couple of things like unpaid vacations. To be specific, I should have at least attempted to negotiate or talk to my recruiter more about it vs just signing a contract due to 'big' numbers...pretty dumb on my part (I know unpaid vacations is somewhat common).
So, to avoid issues like this what should I, or others, consider that happens to be overlooked in the contracting world?
